I have only recently joined pigsback and it is all soooo confusing. I try to click on the links given here to hi-light click through things but I just get the log in page. If I put in my details I just get my normal 'home' page and not the offer/click through suggested in the link.... Very Puzzled....
Also I clicked away like mad when I first joined and now have 330 points but have not seen any more click throughs for several days. Can anyone tell me are they changed on a weekly basis or am I the complete technophobic person I thought I was and am just missing the point....
thanks for your help
me
Have you also been entering the weekly quizzes to get points? I think Jules 2005 lists these on page one of this thread, so check her post out for more points. HTH!In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -
OneFlewOver... wrote:Why? Why is this thread more important than others which have an equal right to top the page?
Edit: It looks from the above as if I'm just a grump, so I need to add this to re-instate me as a regular human being, I hope!!
The thing is that at the weekend, there is no activity (apart from the change of quizzes at midnight) on PB, so there's no reason for any posts to appear, unless they're to discuss jackpots, service issues, tech points, etc.
No OFO - you're not a grump at all and it's a valid question. There are probably many answers for keeping this thread "obvious" and at the top, bearing in mind its popularity at MSE, but I think the main one for me is that if it wasn't at the top you'd very soon I reckon have about half a dozen Pigsback threads running all over the place and it would just drive everyone nuts.0 -
Edna -- fair comment, but 'bumping' also (wrongly) tells me that something new and worthwhile has been added to the thread. If the Pigsback thread is not easily found by someone, simply type in 'pigsback' on the Search facility and it's there in seconds or less!
I think OneFlewOver's comments are very valid.0 -

If you make sure you're logged in to Pigsback and then click on the comp/crossword links you'll be taken directly to them.

Except for:

The special community that was the PB thread no longer exists, simply because the community has grown so large. Whereas once it was populated by a small-ish band of enthusiasts, there are now lots of new PB-ers joining in and the original community spirit has been lost.
This is not a bad thing, as many more people are taking advantage of PB and of the tips kindly provided on here.
However, I can't see why anyone should want to make sure that the PB thread should appear artificially at the top of page one of the threads, unless through some sort of over-enthusiasm.
Still, this is a bit off-topic (sorry!), though not untypical for the PB threads over the weekend!Anyway, thanks, Edna, for taking the time to reply.
I'm not just talking about my wife, I'm talking about my LIFE, and I'm not just talking about MY life, I'm talking about everybody's life. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content, I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about God, the devil, Heaven, Hell. Do you understand...FINALLY?0
