What a relief, I will sleep a bit better tonight.
Me and my husband have cc's,overdraft and loan totalling about £24,000 he was self employed and was left with huge overdraft and credit card, now we have jobs we are finding it difficult to pay all our creditors.
I took the bull by the horns and wrote everything down, what we earned, outgoings etc and called...I nearly cried, its only when u say ur in a mess that it hits you!
The lady was lovely at the CCCS didnt judge, she made me feel so much better by saying 'we can help you'.
I only found CCCS from this site, I have an appointment for the 28th so fingers crossed.
Thanks everyone

Well done for making the call to the CCCS - they're fantastic.
While you wait for the appointment, have a look at the Debt Remedy on CCCS' web site (http://www.cccs.co.uk). It's a brilliant tool covering all the different types of income and expenditure - even things like newspapers.Debt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.

Thanks everyone, Just a quick question the lady at CCCS asked me to now to call my creditors about freezing interest/charges etc, How would I word this to them when I call? She said offer them what I can when i call, don't favour one more than the other and if they dont agree to what u can pay tough, send it anyway. Just need to know to say when I call!0
