Just got a funny phone call

I just got a phone call from a foreign number with a foreign man on the other end saying I had won a holiday to Spain and £5000 for 4 people and all I had to do was state my favourite country in the world. I do not remember entering a competition like this and he did not state where he was from which made me suspisious that and as it was foreign just wondering if anybody else had had a phone call like this. I did say anything I just put the phone down didnt want to be took into a scam.

I think that would be a scam too....definately a good idea to put the phone down!

A little while back I had a missed call from a Spanish number, sounds like it could have been the same thing, definitley sounds like a scam! Must be doing the rounds!

Oh I knew as soon as I picked it up it was a scam no need to say sorry just wanted to check and inform

I have had a similar phone call , it sounded very much like an overseas call centre and I coudn't really understand the man so I put the phone down. He was talking about a holiday to Spain and asking me if I was a homeowner.
