Where Are The Jobs, to Do X?

There seem to be plenty of job opportunities in the London area, as it's a highly relevant and "cutting edge" (to use a cliche) discipline, yet only 40-50 people graduate in that subject per year. I'm not working in that sector at present - I must say I lost a bit of interest along the way - but it's my ultimate fallback should my local career plans not come to fruition in the future.
I never moved anywhere . Eventually I found a job, albeit almost min wage, but doing what I wanted to do. . Eventually I found a job, albeit almost min wage, but doing what I wanted to do.
I think though if you have relively specialist skills then employers would be happy to interview you on the understanding you would relocate if you got the job, so you wouldnt actually have to move anywhere first. I just did a bog standard degree, got good grades, but never heard anything back from companies other than those within commuting distance from where I lived.0

Well, I could spec the outline programming requirement and do marketing/promotion of it, but for me the blank bit would be the programming.Could you start up a website on this perhaps? (and in the process you've got yourself a suitable job:D)
I can define the stages of development and planning and I could project manage the whole thing, but I'd be short of a programmer.
So, if there's anybody out there that thinks "I am a bl00dy good programmer, I really know my stuff and can easily work with APIs and develop some mashup methods; I am an innovative thinker that given a clue can code the solution" then I could certainly wrap that with usability, revenue streams, business model, marketing plan and effort.
 Any takers?0

Sounds fun project to take on actually! Been meaning to look into how to aggregate various information sources in similar subject areas to make uber searches. One good example is to glean extra information in property searches so that you can find planning information and other postcode related stuff on one site without having to go to rightmove to find the property, then look up the postcode on some where you live kind of site then go onto the relevant council site and look up any planning things nearby.
It would certainly be useful to have a list of job titles by area. I wonder if jobsite or monster or any of the others already offer this or would be interested in doing so?
If you combined it with relocation services you could have quite a nice revenue stream 0 0

Oh well - lets hope you cut yourself a suitable deal with someone:D - I DO like a win/win situation. You never know...stranger things have happened through MSE (jobs/marriages/friendships) - so it could be....if you're lucky. Fingers crossed.0

saw a Nextstep advisor yesterday and one of my questions to be covered was "should I stay in this county" and she was quite clear "with what you do, you need to leave the county", but I wondered if there was any easy to use list of what jobs exist where.... so I could key in my type of work, view the list then scan down until I spotted a town that was of interest to me and then use that as a starting point for looking for work.
If the industry is that niche, and you work in it, surely you should know where the jobs are?
If its not that niche, then the job exists anywhere.
