Hi, I thought this was a bargain, products vary accross the country but Lidl are doing a paper trimmer from 21st Jan for £9.99 it's got a roller & guillotine cutting action, maximum work surface is only A4 but I thought it might be useful to crafters & cardmakers Link
It won't let me post a pic but do let me know if it's worth getting. Ta

Thanks for that Violetta, it looks like a really rohbust product. I have bought several products from Lidl's in the past and (apart from their sewing machines) found them to be of very good quality. This included mini cutting rollers attached to a ruler and mat, which I bought a couple of years ago and have used loads of times since. I am very tempted to buy the paper trimmer!0

I thought this looked like a real bargain. (Price is now up to £14.99, but it still seemed a lot of machine for the money).
I have used it once, and had to take it back.
1. There is no way of seeing exactly where your cut is going to be - no clear plastic paper holder, for example.
2. The wheel sometimes cuts, sometimes not.
3. Why is the bed of the machine pitched at an angle, not flat?
Be warned - if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!
However, I am still a big fan of Lidl.0 -
To be frank, do not buy this product, it's rubbish.
The 'lever trimmer' blade was completely blunt, am I supposed to have a grinding wheel myself to sharpen the blade?
The rotary cutter is very difficult to see the exact line that the blade follows. To get a decent cut, as instructed by the manual, you are expected to lock the paper into position using two rotary knobs, cut and then turn the knobs again to release the paper. This is ridiculously inconvenient when you want to cut 4 sides of the same sheet. Even then when the sheet is locked into position, the slider fits loosely onto the rail so will not always offer a precise cut.
As someone else already pointed out, the surface is angled downward which is strange and annoying.
Cheap product trying to overcomplicate the process of cutting a piece of paper. Don't bother.0
