Debt free date brought forward---I can now see light at the end of the tunnel!!

Hi
I joined these boards last December and I just wanted to let you all know how far I have come in 6 months----the best year of my life at tackling debt! I know that I would have been in this same positition this December(no not quite true probably worse off!!) if I hadnt taken some brilliant advice off here!
These are my savings to date--hope it helps some newbies on here to see just what you can achieve in a few months!

Cut food bill down to £50 week
saving minimum £520 year
Changed gas supples saving £135 year plus £12.50 cashback for changing
NTL SAVINGS----one off payment of £30 when i complained about something. Phone reduced from £18.00 to £9.50 per month saving £8.50.
TV reduced from £21.50 to £16.00
Internet reduced from £17.99 to £9.99.
Therefore saving of £22 times £12 which is £264 for the year and with the £30 that is a saving of £294 year.
Payment protection mortgage reduced from £15.80 to £9.80 saving £72 per year.
Saving on car insurance of £124.16 per year.---includes £50 postal orders from PO for doing through PO
House insurance changed Saving £86.47 per year.
£22.50 from Cashback site for House insurance.
£811.00 Bank Charges back from Capital One.

    Congrats Gilly, that's fantastic! :T :j :D

Good idea to keep track of it all, really good for motivation to be able to remind yourself how much you've done and that it has all been worth it!
