Bankruptcy leading to Separation

I will have about £300 in disposable income if I get the tax credits that the online calculator says I am entitled to and if my husband gives me the agreed maintenance he says he is giving me so I could well afford the £155 per month.
Are tax credits not classed as benefits? If so they would not be used to recalculate an IPA.
Cashwaster! Do not be so judgemental, if you do not have anything constructive to say, then say nothing. She does not need a lecture from anyone at this present time.:pB&SC No. 298

Dojoman, I thought they didn't count benefits if that was the only source of income but if OP is working as well as getting benefits (tax credits) does that not have to be taken into account?I ought to put in my signature "but I am happy to stand corrected" :rotfl:since I seem to write it frequently these days.

Benefits are only dis-allowed if they are your only form of income.
As to child maintainence, at present you are not getting any so ensure you DO NOT put this down on your SOA. This is going to sound cruel, but there is no guarantee that you are going to get anything; separation does odd things to fathers and mothers. Do not put down what you may get, or whats been agreed; only put it down once you do actually get the money in your hands; until then its just a possibility.
And being a BR - you ARE allowed to continue paying for a car. If its needed for work and not excessive then its usually a permissable allowance.0 -
