Do you like this idea?

I am thinking of getting one of my bridesmaids a compact mirror as her thank you pressie. I wanted one that she could keep rather than an everyday one.
I originally saw me getting a silver vintage one but I have found this... http://www.johnlewis.com/230491437/Product.aspx?source=14798 What do you think? It is more than my original idea of price, and I think I'm not sure because I'm not keen on the more comercialised gifts but I like it. Just not sure if a vintage silver one or similar would be more special.
Thoughts please?
TIA xx

i think its lovely, but a vintage one would be lovely too :)

it depends what you think they would like best really?
i mean if it was me buying for my friends, one would like the mirror you linked and another would much prefer vintage, so its all about the individual really

That Vera Wang one is gorgeous! I would love to receive one of those.

There are a few other things in that range, I have my eye on the photo frames.

  • i love the vera wang!! that is soooo beautiful!
  • um i have to say i am not very keen on the mirror you linked to but thats personal preference....i just think its a bit "labelly" and you are paying for the name really....but if your bm is a label person, then sure she'd love it! I would definitely prefer a lovely vintage one but as i said, it depends on the preference of your individual BMs
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Thank you - although I wouldn't really like the vera wang one, I think she would but just deciding what to do lol!
Got a little while to decide so will continue to ponder.

Thanks for all the feedback :-)

Not sure if these links will work. If she likes Vera Wang then it will be perfect.
We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T
  • Hopefully she'll like it then!
Do you reckon I should have it engraved or not? I want it to be personal but I don't like the "Thank you for being our Bridesmaid" type gifts cos I wonder how much I would use it!!!

I wouldn't have it engraved personally, but instead, maybe a small gift card to go in the box with it, thanking her.

She would always remember who gave it to her and why, so I don't think engraving it in nessiserry (I can't never spell that so I've spelt it how I say it haha!!) :D
