Teeth grinding and NHS charges

i've just had a tooth shield made on the nhs and the whole process took a week!they made the mould on a monday and the following monday i picked it up0

Doesnt sound right to me.
Mainly because I think they should have charged you band 3 for a bite guard (shhh)
It's only a little plastic bit that got send off to a lab to be made up. She called it a splint. are they different things? I'm now looking at going to a private dentist as I felt a bit lost and she didn't really explain anything and missed a cavity. Shame really, I like using the NHS.

Yes it is the same thing. But as it was made in the lab it should be a band three charge (which is why private charges for this are cheaper)
The lab bill for the " little bit of plastic" would be not far short of your band two charge so this is a treatment your dentist would have lost out on.0
