Amazon card, what's the catch?

Just about to buy something on Amazon and they offered me their card which would effectively give me £15 back. What's the catch? Do they put £15 credit on the card which then comes off what I'm ordering? Can I just use it for Amazon purchases?

hi, a few years ago I took out a Amazon card and if I remember correctly you get a voucher/promotional code that you can use the next time you buy something from them. you then use the card as normal if you want to

also when I took my card out Halifax was the partner how administered the account. since then the two must have fallen out and it is now a standard Halifax account.

looking at the small print on Amazon the card is now administered by MBNA - it may be something for to consider if you had problems with MBNA before etc

other that i dont think there is a catch as such

Just be aware that the 0% they offer is on Amazon purchase only!

Yes you will be credited with £15 on your statement if you use it once anywhere. So if you make a purchase for £30 in the first month, you will have £15 to pay off in the first statement period.

You will also get points - which can be converted to Amazon vouchers

My £15 credit is showing on my statement as of yesterday.

I've paid the remaining balance on the online banking.

Does anyone know how soon I can reapply for another one when I close my account down?
