We're in Kilkeel few miles up the road and have been out on our sleighs all day. I had bought the kids a sleigh each for Christmas but gave them to them early so they could get use out of them. Gives it lasting for a few days, so you need to get up here and have fun, fun, fun.:j

My cousin lives in Newcastle and she has been out all day with her kids there too.

  • Yes, a whole lot more snow was dumped overnight in Co Down mollypoppy so this week looks good for sledging. Not sure whether there will be any left by weekend though - maybe you should take a family day mid week. :)

    Thank you so much.

Trying to get hubby to take the kids out of school for the day. We all know school is important but the kids have never seen real lying sledging snow. Ever child should see this and be able to remember it as one of their childhood memories.

You are setting a bad example to your kids, there will still be snow at the weekend and it's only November!

I let my son have a 'snow day' today. One day won't do him any harm - I'm building memories and it probably will be gone by the weekend.

    Exactly my thoughts
  • Check out http://www.ni-wild.co.uk. Plenty of Northern Ireland types from there in the Mournes regularly.
