Absolutely. Somethings got to give, especially as the private sector is facing huge job cuts. Also, many people work part-time but get money from tax credits to boost their income, effectively cancelling out any tax paid into the system from their job.0 -

So they are supporting people who have their own resources as well eg people on private pensions

BTW what do you mean by wealth creating private sector ? eg what about a private sector firm that earns its dosh from say building roads or hospitals
Does something become 'wealth creating' just because it is in private hands eg if the prison service was privatized. 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
