I've Done It!!!

I've managed to pay off my Egg credit card!!! OK ok so what I actually did was click the "transfer funds" button and it'll be a couple of days before it's in the card account but it's done! I now only have my loan left to pay off which is just sooooo great :)

I know I shouldn't do this but I am going to have to spoil my other half a little bit because he's covered my last two £250 payments to him towards the mortgage and bills bless him so there is no way I could have cleared this so quickly if he hadn't helped out. So I think a little treat will be in order ;)

Right I'm off to update my signature!:j :j

It feels SO great! I've been bouncing up and down with excitement, now I just can't wait to see the actual figure turn to 0 in my Egg account manager :) going on past form it usually takes just under a week but at least I KNOW it's coming heehee!

This month I want to see how much I can scrape together from Ebaying and other sources to put towards my loan debt which is now going to be my main target - have to admit that from now on I CAN afford to relax a little and not be such a miserable miser always saying we can't afford the occasional dinnner out together etc

I have decided that £50 of what I am not paying toward my card anymore will either go to OH to help with the bills OR into a savings account for x-mas/holidays :)

Well in fairness a lot was PPI being cancelled, some was a cheque I had from years ago for wages I never got paid (OH handed me my mail about 2 years later and I'd forgotten about the money, but kept the cheque to make sure I never made that mistake again. Then realised I could still claim it... 3 months before the 6 years were up ;)) and the rest is just hard work and tighening of the waistband at home :)
I could pay it all off quicker BUT as well as paying back debt I want to give us a better life so food has gone up in quality and is mainly organic now :)
However having just paid off one debt now I want to save every penny and get the other one paid off too heehee
