:hello:...am snowed/iced in and i have got to decide what to do for tonights dinner....
i have just taken 4 pork and tomato sausages out of the freezer....what can i do with them before i just stick them between slices of white bread with a dollop of HP(although that sounds good)
i have got all the usual suspects...rice/pasta/cous cous/tin toms,etc...but no potatoes...
just too fed up being stuck in the house and can't think of what to do with the 'bangers'....

chop an onion & garlic if you have it, and shove them, the bangers and a tin of chopped toms into a pot in the oven for an hour at gm 5. We have it with mash or pasta. Of course you can add herbs etc if you like. It's just something a little bit different.0

Hi Marmalize !
So much you could do. Sausage omelette? Sausage and tomato spicy pasta?
there are a million variations on sausage casserole.
What about good old fashioned hearty Mashed potatoes saus and beans? One of my favourites. Or Sausages, Mash potatoes and fried onions and gravy?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

If you have flour, you could make toad in the hole. (It's basically just sausages in batter as far as I can remember, but haven't made it for years).0

hard boil some eggs, empty out sausagemeat from skins. wrap round eggs, rolls in breadcrumbs/crispcrumbs/biscuitcrumbs. Plodge a bit of oil over them and bake on a high oven (or deepfry) lovely scotch eggs.0
