  • ILW - We asled the credit checkers experian and they said it wasnt to do with the joint account it was to do with the monthly repayments of £300. He told them it would be splitted and it would save us money but they said they cant just trust his word that the loan is to pay his debts and that it will be splitted!! Jokers!!
  • £10,000 is an awful lot of money to borrow.

If you can't manage your o/d and his debts how can you service the extra debt?

You need to start living within your means. What you can't afford, then just simply don't have.

I am sure you are very proud of your achievement and your financial accumen and actually I don't blame you but I have to tell you not everyone is in your fortunate position. With respect your advice to Sarah (and to me for that matter) simply not to borrow when the damage is already done is something akin to advising someone who just had a car accident that they should have slowed down. Far better in my opinion to try to help someone out of their situation rather than simply point out their mistakes! If you can't do that, probably better to keep your own counsel.
