FREE British Pathe Downloads

This may not be as exciting as other freebies but may come in useful for some people.
The Britsh Pathe website is, for this year only, not charging for downloads. So if you are studying or just interested in certain aspects of the past and would like to know more ie the Titanic, football world cup, WW2, the Beatles or even Corsets this can be quite an interesting site.

When you select the film which you would like to see it comes up with various video clips as well as the story. But, when you click on "Download Video" a message should pop up saying that it has been added to your basket. If you view your basket you can either carry on "shopping" or "Proceed". After you have filled in all the necessary bits and pieces the complete download(s) should start direct to your computer.

I think this answers your question, if not please let me know. Most of the video clips are only a couple of minutes long, if that tho.

Also, as I do scrapbooking and in the process of making Family History albums some of the facts for the relevant era's will be just perfect!

I compiled a CD of events that happened on my Dads birth date for his birthday which he was most impressed with. Now all of his friends want one as well! 8)
