Original xbox plus 4 games - £89.99

I picked up the most recent sale leaflet for Argos and it had the original Xbox with Halo 2, Fable, PGR 2 and Forza motorsport for £89.99. It is online here:

    Is this such a good offer???.....not knowing about this sort of thing.

    I vaguely recollect my OH going on about having to get an X-Box just 'cos his mate's got one....maybe a good Christmas pressie???

    Is there a more recent one out now???

    Many thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.

    Yeah the x-box is an "old" console. The x-box 360 is the current one.

    BTW I still think this offer is £89.99. add both items to teh trolly it says, and if you do, the total price is £89.99. Am I wrong?

    Buy the Xbox console (567/7799) and get Forza/Halo 2/Project Gotham Racing 2/Fable (568/0858) free. To receive offer add both items to your trolley. Offer ends 28th July 2006. - cut and pasted from the argos web page

    Just tried it on the bottom link on the page at £79.99 via the picture but its for the games only, but you get these free if you add the console at £89.99 into the basked for store pick up and if it helps anyone they are in stock in Dundee Wellgate Centre, Overgate too, St Andrews, Arbroath, Perth, Leven, Glenrothes, Montrose Extra, Kirkcaldy and Dumfermline at the time of posting.

    Dilema :confused::confused::confused:

    It looks to me that the 79.99 is just for the 4 games bought together (Xbox not included).
    The 89.99 includes the Xbox and the 4 games when added together.

    I know from experience (and a bit of a standup row with the branch manager :mad: ) that this definately costs £89.99, wonder how many of these games packs they sell at £79.99 as you can pick up all 4 games for under £32?

    Its still a good deal if you are after a Xbox but make sure you add all the items to your cart properly!!
