I have 22 carat crap gold. Is it possible to get more than 14 pounds per gram?

I’ve been looking for the best prices for scrap gold in internet but couldn’t find more than 14 pounds per gram. I also wanted to sell few gold coins – sovereigns. The maximum price was 120 pounds per coin. Is it possible to sell it for more avoiding online scam or some charges that some web sites don’t show?

Even more amazing that two first time posters, in the early hours of the morning, both have an interest in scrap gold.

Although you may get more money worth than 9ct, 22ct isn't very sort after in the UK. Upto 18ct with hallmark. I'd think if you get £14, that's a very good price but possibly only via private sales.
Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

Have you sold your soul to the devil?
