Should I consolidate my debts with a loan?

  • Sorry teddypicker, I haven't been on for a while. You can make sure you get your grandad paid back and pay the extra interest for the next few months on the snowballer by (eg) paying £150 a month to your grandad and £50 to your other debts (minimum on lower rate, remainder on higher rate) - this is just an example, always pay the minimum. Then throw as much as possible to the higher rate debt after that and thenn the other. In 12 month you would have paid £2400 which is sufficient to clear the debts this way so long as you stop using the cards.
