John Lewis Free 5yr warranty on all TV's

Sony Bravia KDFE50A12 Rear Projection HD Ready Digital Television, 50 Inch

Just ordered the above TV from John Lewis and got a free 5yr warranty!!!

John Lewis are doing 5yr warranties on all their TV's, I think they have been doing it for some time.

I always wanted a large set, and had some money saved for a plasma, but through all the negative comments re plasma's I opted for this one.

Argos are currently doing the same TV in their sale for £999.99 with a three year warranty, but thought I'd take advantage of the the extra two years as my items always seem to go faulty the day after the warranty runs out!!

I think this is the link https://www.johnlewis.com

  • They've been doing it for years, ideally people should be getting John Lewis to price match the cheapest elsewhere for this.
I've seen John Lewis spend hundreds in making sure customers were happy with their tv years after purchase, proper customer service ;)
I wouldn't touch Argos with a barge pole with such a pricey purchase.

I would get them to price match at least to the ARGOS price if possible - but in my experience this can take anything from 2 days to weeks to get them to agree...

hi sandra_3086 you have 28 days after you have bought the tv to try to get a pricematch with another store , say argos so contact the undersale team and they should pricematch argos if they are in stock

I've saved £928 on Panasonic TH42PX600CAB, which PM'ed against empiredirect yesterday

Their criteria seems to be hard, a bit of luck do the trick
