Saving Money for Others

Hi All :)
I went to Kew Gradens this week.
While waiting to pay I was invited to convert my entrance fee to a donation to Kew.
This allows them to claim the tax back from the Government.
This to my mind is a good thing ;D

  • Hello tallpeter,

I agree with you, I think it is a good thing too.
Many places that we visited this summer holiday requested us to "donate" rather than purchase entrance tickets as well.

Since the current government is so willing for charities to claim gift aid, can't see why we shouldn't help those organisations to take advantage of it. As tax payer, I benefit from it too. :)
