Very odd - lloyds tsb

I have been trying for over 18 months to get a £100 OD with Lloyds tsb for my joint account. they will let me do what i like with my personal account - but probably due to my OH's credit rating they wouldnt let us have one on our joint account.

i was told that if we managed to not go overdrawn on our joint account for 6 months we could have a OD. (obviosuly if we didnt go over drawn we wouldnt need OD!) we still have gone OD nearly every month by silly small amounts - but today i applied on line to upgrade my account - and it let me!

what on earth is going on?

Hmm, reminds me of the Halifax who withdrew my £800 overdraft in December2004 due to me missing a payment on my halifax visa card 3 years previously !!! (Thanks very much just before christmas) and when I pleaded with them, they turned nasty and said I'd never get another overdraft with them again due to my default and that was their new policy.

Low and behold in June 2005 we were on holiday and my tax credits didn't go in, I went into the Halifax to see if they could help and the lady offered me a £1000 overdraft and it went through there and then.
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

That sounds like a good plan to me! Do you think we could do it with clothes & shoes as well? :D:

Don't expect logic, I called them to ask for a deal on a life of balance transfer & was told they would only do it at the standard APR of the card. A week later when I had to activate the new card, I got " and we can offer you two deals on balance transfers"
