Mistake on GMTV?

I just saw the end of Martin's piece on GMTV this morning, where he said people can save up to £3,000 a year in a cash ISA; I thought this figure was more like £3,600 after an increase or am I mistaken? (I know about the ISAs with stocks and shares which allows something like £7,000 a year).

You are of course right its £3,600 unless you're over 50 - when its £5,100 - Im pretty sure I said £3,600 unless it was a mental hiccup while summarising at speed?Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

I'm sure he said £3600, this would have been around 07:30 - 07:45.0 -

I saw the one on Lorraine's show, not the earlier one. Oh well. Not the end of the world, and the extra £600 could come as a nice surprise for those new ISA savers who aren't quite as MSE yet as the rest of us.
As an aside, Martin, is is true allowances are going up again next tax year (eg in April)?0 -
