Microwave plate warmers just cracked my new plate!

I have some microwave plate warmers i have had quite a few years,bought from lakeland and yesterday i used them to heat up some new denby wear plates (argos hukd bargain btw) and after i took them out,one suddely cracked in half.What did i do wrong?

it might just have been a freak incident, maybe the plate had a flaw and would have cracked anyway.. could you take it back to argos?
were they very cold before you put them in the microwave?0 -

If there is an air pocket inside the plate then it will expand and break the plate.0
