Paypal is covered by FOS - see here.
This means you complain to Paypal, if you are dissatisfied you go to FOS. If you are still dissatisfied then you can go to court but FOS is free.0 -
I'm currently taking PayPal through the small claims court.. issued on the 2/7/14 to the Surrey address (many thanks for it by the way!)
Any help would be great.
Can see them 'acknowledging it' before the 21st July though of course but we'll see what happens.
Total amount they owe us is over £1.3K

I hate to read all these innocent people that have fallen victims to this disgusting company. PayPal need to be taken down over their treatment of people and businesses. We have a PayPal account as a relatively new business other payment providers need a few years of trading accounts before they will entertain you hence why we opened a PayPal account in the first instance. Our first event that we needed to place on sale was a massive success and didn’t encounter any issues with PayPal other than them taking so much commission it was ridiculous but then that what we had to sign up to. Last year in 2020 after taking huge amount of sales PayPal put a ‘reserve’ on our account around September/October and now that we are in late March 2021 we still do not have access to the funds even though we have paid in excess of £6000 in VAT to HMRC. We have had to pay the VAT bill on the monies we cannot gain access to and we need these funds as a company. We will be contacting the Financial Ombudsman and lodging legal proceedings against PayPal to reclaim
our monies and sue for the distress it has place on our mentality and business finances. If you need to take legal action this is their UK address: Paypal Europe Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1EH.0 -
This thread is 6 years old, why did you bump it?
Paypal commission isn't really much different to the likes of Shopify or a bank issued card machine1
