For anyone with little ones........ I use bath time to really scrub the bathroom. I have to stay in there anyway, and it's better than sitting watching them.
I also put stuff on the stairs to take up when I go.... mind you, like others I have a family who are oblivious to this!!!! The other thing I do. I have a 'clean' waste paper bin in the bedroom, and in the morning, before I come down, I put all the bits in that need to go downstairs. Mobile phone, last night's water glass, book to go back to library etc. I put everything away in their place, then put the bin back at the bottom stair and put all the bits in it to go back upstairs.
I have taught everyone in the house to just chuck their laundry down the stairs. They all actually pick it up and put it in the washing basket when they come down!!!!!! Saves building up a big pile of washing upstairs. It does work. Just don't let them do it when you have visitors!!!!
My dh used to just take his wet football kit off in the bathroom and leave it there for me to pick up. Now he chucks it down, has his bath, and lifts it as soon as he comes down stairs.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
