On SOA where do I list my OH benefits, does that go under my partners income or under benefits. ( I do not get any benefits)
And The question: number of cars owned, Is that how many cars are in the household or how many cars I own personally.
Thanks, Tom

Hi, that will be under your partner's income and you just list the cars that you own, but say if there are any that you drive but do not own in the relevant section too.0

I do not own any cars, my wife owns 2 cars. I am using one of her car for my work, she uses the other car for school runs, food shopping and so on, it is all household related. The expenses concerning the car I use for work ( self employed ) I will deduct from my income so I do not list them on SOA.
But do I list all the expenses of the other car my wife is using on my SOA?0 -
Put up your SOA and your OH and put an explination giving more info
I just put up one SOA with explinations on what was what and then split it
Hope this helps

It is just me who is going bankrupt. I just wanted more information before I fill in my SOA, as I was not sure of some of the tings I need to list in there. So I understand that I will list all of her car expenses as it is for an household purposes only.
Thanks,

Hi I'm new to this thread. I am unemployed due to my contract completing back in March 2009, and could not find employment since then due to my pregnancy. I've recently had my baby and I have moved in mith a friend as i cannot afford to live at new own property any longer. The mortgage company have written to me regarding voluntary repossession which I have to sign this statement and send back to them. I would be grateful of the following:
1. Does my friend get penalized on their property for their address being used as a forwarding address, I did write to the mortgage company to explain it's a care of address but their correspondance letter has left off c/o.
2. Do I need to sort out bankruptcy first before proceeding.
3. All I get is maternity money only and therefore I cannot pay any costs from the courts.
4. I do not have any assets and the property is vaccant and has been since March 2009.
5. Do I go down the route of voluntary repossession or wait until the lender makes it formal reposession as I cannot afford to pay anything.
I am seeing the citizens advice tomorrow with the statement letter sent from the mortgage company and I am hoping they can help me because I cannot afford to see a solicitor as no money to pay for their fees. This is really worrying as a new mum this pressure on my shoulders isn't good as it's hard trying to find my feet in my new role without the added pressure from the mortgage company as well. I have read a few threads from other people going through the same process as me and it is reassuring to know others are happy afterwards with their decissions they have made.
I would be so grateful as to know where I stand especially being out of work on maternity wage.
Many thanks0 -

You put the car you drive under vehicles you have use of and can include it's expenses on your form. Your wifes personal expenses do not get put onn your SoA.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Hi and welcome. You should really start your own thread so your posts don't get lost in someone elses. Go to the front page of the bankruptcy forum and click on new thread, copy and paste this post there. I've made some comments in the meantime.Hi I'm new to this thread. Any address a creditor has they will use. Bankruptcy is a personal thing so it is not the address that is bankrupt, as long as you don't have any joint finances with your friend (like joint bank account, credit cards etc) she will be fine.
2. Do I need to sort out bankruptcy first before proceeding. Phone one of the debt charities - contact details in Tigerfeet's signature above. If you go bankrupt first whatever you do DO NOT sign anything from your mortgage lender as that could constitute a new contract so your shortfall might not be included in your bankruptcy.
3. All I get is maternity money only and therefore I cannot pay any costs from the courts. You will still have to come up with about £350 - not sure of the exact amount.
4. I do not have any assets and the property is vaccant and has been since March 2009.
5. Do I go down the route of voluntary repossession or wait until the lender makes it formal reposession as I cannot afford to pay anything. It depends if you are looking to be rehoused by your local council. Speak to CAB.

You'll be glad once you've seen CAB and know what your options are. Come back on here and let us know what they've said. Good luck!

I am still little confused which car expenses I can put on my SOA. As the expenses of the car I am using are business related I will deduct them from my income. As my wife’s car, she Is not working and using her car only for household purposes, so do I deduct these expenses from her income/benefits or do I list them on my SOA. I would be happy if somebody could clarify that for me.0 -
Are you going to post your SOA on here for us all to look at and help?If Carling made web-sites this would proberly be the best website in the world :T
