Well I didnt know there was a Nov bride thread or Id have checked in before!
I'm getting married in St Lucia on 6th Nov (There from 2nd-16th) just me and OH. Party on our return on 20th for everyone back at home.
Thanks to Maz for bumping and bringing this thread to my attention. Wierd thing is, a work collegue is getting married abroad November too and her name is Marie (Maz to me)and her H2B has the surname Crane! Bit of a coincidence - I had to read your post twice to check it wasnt her! :rotfl:She is going to Mexico though and has only 1 daughter.
I'm trying to keep costs as low as poss as I begrudge too much expense for just one day. The dress was 1/4 of price in sample sale, shoes Next sale £12.50, Holiday pricey but wedding included free (also cake/bouquet/bouttoniere/wedding breakfast etc)- and got hol in Virgin January sale so less than book price. H2B's mam is making cake for here and we aren't having cars or bridesmaids or the like.
My only grumble is i'm stuck with Sandals' photographer and their prices.
But Ive done my best on everything else.0 -
LOL that is a coincidence
We have scrimped on the wedding, but gone all out on the holiday. My feelings are that its just 1 day, and as we've both been married before, it doesn't have to be a huge expense.
We haven't used a wedding co-ordinator, we've done it all independantly which has saved us a bundle.
Booked flights with easyjet, Booked a 3 bedroom villa off another site. Booking car hire in a few weeks......sorted!!
All thats left now is saving some spending money.....NOT so easy0 -

I'm now at the point that if anyone else asks me if i'm all organised I will scream!
Of course I'm organised, I'm a PA who organises functions for a living.
We're going to the isle of Skye, it will be cold, wet and beautiful with lots of log fires and fine wine. Heaven0 -
Hello!
My wedding is on 13/11/10. Have the rehearsal on Saturday which is when I think it will really sink in. Keep thinking that its someone else getting married, not little ol me!
Think I have most things planned now. Need to do the order of service, name cards, table plan - ok, I shall stop there else I shall start panicking!
Can't wait to be married and have my life back, its so consuming planning a wedding but I know it will all be worth it. My sisters are surprised how chilled I am about it all, which I am but I am having sleepless nights and dreaming about things going wrong.
Need to book all my beauty treatments ie nails & eyelashes etc - the plan is to have nothing to do the daye before except to relax............thats the plan anyway!0 -
I got up at 3 am the other morning to start my seating plan!! We're not going away til January but we will have a few days at home0
