csa help please re closed case

Can someone help me please. I have just had my first payment of CSA from absent father after 10 years of fighting, but they are only paying arrears from 2007 when a new case was opened on the new system, CSA closed the original case of only 6 months of trying to track him back in 1999 on old system. I never asked them to close case and made a complaint a few years back which they paid me out £100 compensation for. I was always under the impression that the arrears would still be paid when they caught up with him. Do i have a case for fighting for the arrears, even if the case was closed. I spoke to the specialist team today but didnt seam to get very far, as old info is on old system. And where would i being.

Yes you should still be able to get the arrears as they can't write them off - but it depends on whether the arrears were correctly calculated. Can you give a timeline of events and the amounts we are talking?
