Does anyone know if anywhere is selling boots with a decent rubber sole with a bit of grip on it? Preferably suitable for an active mature lady.

  • I think the place on sandy row does good boots - can't remember the name but it's the big shoe shop about halfway down - good service too.

Yes, I know the one you mean, thanks, I'd forgotten about them. An elderly friend said she got good ones off the fella the Inns and he's got a sale on atm. I need somewhere that will take them back because I'm buying them for my mum.

Yes, that's it, a friend of mine buys all her shoes there and it's only up the road so I'll try there first.

You'd think shoe manufacturers would put a bit more thought into the soles, especially in boots etc designed for the more mature market. I checked M&S and they hadn't one pair with a decent grip on the bottom, they were even slippery on the shop floor, pffttt!
