Chance to make extra cash but will it really work! Advice please

Hi All,

Don't worry I'm not going to promote anything, I'm just after some advice, a friend of mine was going though his ebay account and me been nosey saw several payment for a couple of hundred quid a month I asked him about it and he glady told me and showed me all about it.

Basically it's webdomain and hosting, they charge you $10 a month this is for a website domain and hosting, or you can join and pay just to make a little extra money, Im not going to name sites or anything but the jist of it is, for every 5 people you refer in a week they will give you $100 and then $1 a month for every month they stay, but they will also give you $1 a month for the person your friend refers and so on up 5 levels deep.

Pyramid scheme I hear you shout, well I don't know, Ive done some resarch on it and the company is a real company, they have been about since 1999 and many posative reviews etc about them and I know they pay out, but do you think it will be easy to do ? I mean getting people to I have been taken in with things in the past and lost fair bit of ££ and ended up with nothing, but this does seem genuine what do you guys think,

Honest answers please, ill be happy to elaberate where I can,

Well fruity, it is basically a domain and hosting website, what you pay for is basically the domain name you want and for it to host you website, plu slots of other stuff but Im not promoting here so I wont blab on, bascially the jist is though they have a really good affiliate scheme, like my post above says if i refer 5 people in a week they give $100 if i refer 10 $200, then of course the person who I refer then can start refing there own people and such forth, like I said I have done some research and it all seems legit but I guess Im just scared about been burned, like I said, I have invested quite a bit of money in stuff before that were just really crap and lost more he he.

What is the $10 a month for?

You can become an affiliate for a lot of hosting companies directly and get between $50 & $100 per new sign up.

You would need a way to promote the companies but you could do that through free blogs etc.....

Or get a reseller account for $15-$25 a month and charge people to host their sites, that is what a lot of people on ebay do, sell the sites for a couple of £ and then charge £5-£10 a month hosting.

The $10 a month is for web address and hosting, so about £6 a month which isnt bad, seen some uk compaines but they are 8-9 a month, what attracts me to these is obsivly the money for the referrerls but also the $1 a month for them and everyone they get to sign up as well, I have seen some decent screen shots of good earings from this, but I dunno, would the UK be a hard place to crack for this hmmmmmm

You can buy a .info domain name for 99c and get hosting for 1c for the first month and then around $10 a month and you can host multiple sites on this one account

I dont know the company you are talking about but hosting is a very competitive market because of the amount that they payout, you also have to wait between 2-3 months for payout and then they only pay if the customer is brand new, so if they already have an account with that company you wont get a commission.

Good points deq, I know its a competative market, and I know this company pays out monthly and I know they offer 100 MB disk storage per account and 10 GB of monthly bandwidth and maximum of 10 Active Mailboxes per domain. I know they do several domains .co.uk .com etc see I just dont know, Im still on the fence I have a free tiral with them and am going to play with it before I fully decide.
