FTB mortgage

Hi
My hubbie and I have applied for a mortgage through Portman and are awaiting an offer. I can't relax until I know we have the mortgage. The thing is that we currently live with inlaws who have lots of loans. Will the fact that we all live at the same address and therefore the fact that they have loans have any affect on whether the lender approves our mortgage?
As for us we have 18% deposit ready to put down, have no loans and both have full time steady jobs. Guess being a FTB am a nervous wreck until we get the mortgage approved!
thanks in advance for any replies
