One of OH's debts is a LTSB credit card, and we also have our current account with LTSB (in the process of changing to A&L).
This morning, the bank has taken us practically up to our overdraft with a debit for his card
Thing is, we've been paying them instalments for ages and have never missed one, so why suddenly sting us like this? Even worse, we're now going to struggle to get enough in the account to cover our mortgage payment, which is due in a few days :eek:
Is there anything I can do about this - apart from expediting the bank account switch?
I'm so sorry I got out of bed this morning

Did they give you warning about this? You could try contacting them explaining you need the money for your mortgage, which is a priority debt and asking them to return the money (or most of it).
Not sure whether they have to return it, but you could at least appeal to them.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
