It's not bad bit bland I always add extra onions and curry powder to give it a bit more taste0

My mum brought some round today, too much of a bargain for her to resist so she bought it for everyone she knows
Not tried it yet though. 52% tight0 -
This is pretty decent, yes it's a touch bland but you can easily add a few spices to it yourself. What I tend to do is add some tomato puree (30p for a small tin) and you can add maybe some chilli powder or garam masala etc if you want to give it a personal touch.
Try some cumin seed and a couple of cardomom pods heated in the oil before adding onion, then add the chicken or whatever, seal it, add a touch of garam masala and chili powder, stir, then ad the 5p sauce.
This is also great if you need some large glass jars.0 -
It tastes like baby food, if you want to make a curry the only way is from scratch.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I found it a bit salty?
I start my chicken off then pour this over the top and back in the oven fir 30 mins.
I find that if you don't think of it as a sauce to make curry but just a cook in sauce then it isn't so disappointing. I dint have mine with rice, goes nice with green veggies on the side!If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0 -
Its always this price isn't it?
I use it over sausage and chips ..so like a chip shop curry0 -
We get a similar one form Sainsburys for a massive 9p LoL - It's nicer than the ASDA one. We dice the chicken brown it off with sesame seed oil, cut chunky onion and put it in the oven for 40 mins. Tastes not far off a Chinese chicken curry and very cheap and quick and easy!0

This is a good time saver.
I know what you mean about saving time although it tastes nothing like curry?I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
