Watch Out! Time Out's dodgy offer

I received a flyer from Time Out London recently offering 13 issues for 99 pence.
I signed up and almost immediately 99p disappeared from my account. Weeks later - with no sign of any issue through my letterbox - I received a confirmation letter that thanked me for signing up for the offer.
Right at the bottom it reminded me that after the trial period I would be paying full whack.
There was absolutely no mention however of how long this trial period would last - under the terms set out in the letter they would have been at liberty to send me one issue, say that constituted my trial period and then charge me at the full rate.
Either the trial period mentioned in the flyer was a fake lure or whichever marketing dork had written the letter had cocked up the new customer letter. I smelled a rat.
I rang Time Out immediately and pointed this out to them.
I was told the period would last 13 weks. I asked for a written guarantee. They said they wouldn't give one.
I then asked for my trial to be cancelled. They did that. Sadly I have paid 99p - which hasn't been paid back - for absolutely nothing.

The Time Out offer was actually featured in Martin's newsletter a few weeks ago. See here:

Or the link to the actual thread is here:

Perhaps Martin may want to chase it up...?DFW Nerd 0350
