If you want a hell of a good workout then Your Shape nearly kills me. Other than that if you want something just to get you moving you'll get bored of any one game that you buy - so check the sales & eBay for a few different ones. I LOVE my new Wii Fit Plus - it's got me back into it after months of not using it, plus Raving Rabbids gets you moving and makes you laugh!

I just got EA Sports Active which I am really enjoying using so far :D I don't have a balance board but there's still plenty of exercises and you get the resistance band with the game. Recommended

I want to try this one too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/UBI-Soft-Fitness-Coach-Wii/dp/B001M5TRGA/ref=pd_sim_vg_h__2

The Sports Active one is great. The weight just dropped off me. If you are quite unfit you will find it a killer though!
  • EA Sports is a good one :)

I vote for EA Sports Active - much more interesting that Wii Fit (the first one - can't comment on the latest one).
I have to say too that Just Dance is also a good one, some of them are hard work and if you like dancing it's a laugh too.

I have only had a Wii since christmas but I have following games:

    1. EA sports: more workout. I've been doing this 4 times a week and I think it's great. There's a 6 week workout programme you can follow. In 30 min. I just about get to sweat.

    2. Wii fit plus. Man, this one is fun. Loads of various balance games such as football heading, ski jumping etc. I haven't done much of the excercises yet, but it seems a bit soft on you. A fit 22 year old would probably think this is a waste of time. Good if you are 50 and overweight though.

    3. My fitness coach: cardio workout. This is only boxing excercises with a couple of games thrown in. Can get your heartrate up but it lack variety IMO.

    4. New U. Very slick presentation and the only one of these that feature real people as opposed to animated characters. Loads of tips on nutrition etc. Some decent workouts but I don't like the fact that it measures how in sync you are with the trainer and rates you after that. It's like you are auditioning for a dance act.

    5. My fitness coach: Get in shape. This is completely different to the other My fitness coach so don't be fooled by the name. Where Cardio workout was mostly aimed at men this one is mostly aimed at women. It's all aerobics stuff. It doesn't need wii mote or nun chuck.

I'd say get EA sports: more workout and Wii fit plus as it's cheap now you already have the board. Don't expect miracles though, as it's just 6 more excercises and 15 new balance games.

    There's some thorough reviews here.

  • Played my Biggest Loser game for the first time today, and looks like it could be a good one for home workout fans. It's split up into different intensities and lengths of workout depending on what you're in the mood for, plus keeps it fun with challenges etc.

Few annoying bits were some of the random talking from the trainers thrown in, and having to move the wii remote (right hand, left hand, pocket etc) but overall, if you don't fancy the gym but still want a cardio workout than you could do worse than buy this. Plus I got it for £10 which has got to be a bonus!

i agree, just dance is brilliant. not a work out, but a dance game but man oh man after a couple i am sweating, and it makes a nice change to lunges etc! i bought it on play when it was 17 quid, every where else seems to sell it for 20 or more so do shop around... if u want fun while you lose weight, def get it!
