Paraffin Heaters???

Hubby keeps harping on about getting a parrafin heater. I think the main reason is for it to be in the garage while he works out. However I have a feeling that he is just being extra tight and will try to move it into the lounge.
What do you guys think, are they safe Carbon Monoxide wise. He said he wants one that had a Carbon Monoxide alarm and a child protector thing incase it gets knocked over (not that I can see that happening)

I think the new Calor gas Blue Flame ones are far better. The gas bottles are easy to switch over and get delivered to your door, and they have many fail-safe devices fitted. They are not cheap though, the one I was looking at was £178. I was going to get one in case we ever had probs getting coal, but didnt realise they cost so much0

Hi Jasmin. It's a very long time since I last used a parrafin heater but all I can remember about them is the terrible smell, the hassle to fill them and having to mess around with the wick
Maybe I am completely out of date and the latest versions are more user-friendly - I hope so.
Good luck, I don't think that I would want one in my sitting room!was ihn nicht umbringt, macht ihn stärker - Nietzsche0
