I have some (about a third of a jar) of Nutella which has gone past its bbe (less than a month tho so its ok) and cant be spread as its gone too stiff.

  • Could you warm it up to spread? Or if you have any bananas, cut a slit down the inside-bend-length with the skin still on and stuff with nutella, then wrap in foil, bake and serve with ice-cream or custard? Or stir some into hot milk for luxury hot-choc?
:D**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

    Nutella and banana crumble.

Best made in individual ramekins but you could use a big dish.

Slice half a banana per person into dishes, dollop as best you can a spoonful of Nutella on top. Cover with crumble (nice with coconut added) and bake. Kids loe them.

thickly spread it on bread and use in a bread and butter pudding - I did this the other day ( well with a HM choc sauce gone hard) and it was DELISH!

  • I am new to facing up to the mess we have got ourselves into and reigning in the waste to try and combat that mess....anyway, today I cleaned all my kitchen cupboards out so I could make a kind of inventory to as to what I already have in there, I am so ashamed to say that I found a HUGE jar of nutella a year out of date...only about a teaspoon gone :(

What a waste and what a slovenly housewife I was!
