Hi guys,
This won't apply to many folk but has anyone found it difficult to get clearance whilst bankrupt or after discharge?
Credit check is part of security clearance. Do you get a chance to explain thed reasons behind the bankruptcy or is it impossible to get clearance with a bankruptcy on your record?

It's done to check whether you are in financial difficulty, and potentially vulnerable to bribery or other financial 'influences'. Or maybe even blackmail.
Having been BR is not a reason to fail a check, even up to SC, DV +.
Obviously, not disclosing things on the app/forms is an immediate clearance failure though.
