Lisk so you reckon that IF are still offering mortgages/re mortgages to existing customers despite telling all that they have stopped doing mortgages and are recommending Scottish Widows instead ? I was hoping to keep my IF mortgage and looking for a further £70k for renovations and this would indeed be good news as I locked into 1% above base for the remainder of the term (17 years) a couple of years ago ...
Their web site clarifies a lot of information. 1st April 2011 appears to be a key cut off date.

opinions4U - Should be April 1st 2010 so only about 9 weeks to get an application approved.

Peter L - Yes, it would seem you might, like us, be able to get additional borrowing on top of your existing mortgage. At least worth a phone call to IF sales advisors- I spoke to a very knowledgeable guy.
  • I've just had a letter from Intelligent Finance saying mortgage lending, draw down etc is all back on again and they will be offering new mortgage products too.

    A complete turnaround !

Yes we just had the same letter - seems the 1st April deadline is not so important now!
