What is the smallest OP you have made?

Just wondering ;) (Mainly because I have a spare £2.45 in my bank and I wanted to know if it would be too embarrasing to use this as an OP)

Found a dormant National Savings account from when I had a paper round. It had 4 pence in it. They sent me a cheque.

Northern Rock accepted the cheque. The look on the clerks face was worth more than 4 pence when I handed it over.

Let's face it, if we all got embarrased about these little amounts sitting i accounts then the banks end up with a lot of money sat with them.
Paying electonically of course avoids any embarrasment in any case !

Honestly guys, don't be afraid of coming in and paying in 50p or withdrawing 50p!!

Customers who do this are usually highly embarassed, but honestly, it happens all the time and I often say to them it isn't a problem and it's still a customer transaction whether it's 5p, 50p or £500!

The customer is far more flustered by it than the staff member processing the transaction........it's the same as when someone comes in and they are in financial difficulty and then I might see them in the supermarket the next day......99 times out of 100 if they speak to me I cannot remember where I know them from, let alone remember their business.

Not that I am comparing myself to this wonderful profession, but I can remember seeing my midwife :A and ran up to her and said "Hi....it's me!!"........this was the woman who had witnessed the birth of our first child......who held my hand and supported me for 9 hours of labour!! OMG...I was soo pleased to see her!!...........did she recognise and remember me?????.................NO!!! Gutted!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
