in It's gone, but was it any good?
Bought today in store - hard back book reduced from £25 to 49p.

Also bright pink magazine holder marked £2.49 reduced to 62p.

    I looked round WHSmiths today at their *sale* and was quite disappointed

    Examples were the Anastacia, Maroon 5 and Keane CDs that I had been considering buying before Christmas, that were all available before Xmas for less than £10 (in Virgin and Tesco) which WHS are trying to convince us we should pay £12.99 for in their sale - I don't think so!

    Came out empty-handed in the end... :(

    The other thing I noticed was that they had a cross-cut shredder in their sale, was £49.99, reduced by £15 to £34.99

    Somebody posted here a couple of weeks back that Staples had a cross-cut shredder for £9.99!

    No wonder WHS have posted poor results, some of their prices are really taking the pee!
