Just to say I did a back order on the Yaktrax website Sun night and was suprised they turned up today.
Seem slightly stronger than the QVC ones - maybe?
I wanted a spare pair to keep in,
Im so happy with how much my confidence has improved walking on the snow/ice. In the past Id of almost been in tears trying to slide across the ice now Im walking on it at nearly my normal pace and not half as worried!
The slush had frozen into sheet ice today and did not feel myself slip once getting to work - saw a few people slip and one lady fell over (I helped her up)
I hope the snow is all gone soon but am never braving it without the grips in the future and am so grateful to these grips for giving me my confidence back! (and will save me a fortune in taxi fares!)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

It is a method of walking in the snow more safely.
If you do buy it you might only use it for a week and not use it again for years.

Due to unprecedented demand we are now out of all Ice Grip products:mad:

I bought two pairs of Yaktrax from QVC just after Christmas and have been wearing them almost daily since.
They are worth EVERY penny.
I was expecting to feel 75% confidence walking on snow and ice but with these babies it's closer to 99%. You really don't slip and they provide traction on steep icy roads as well.
However....as I've been wearing them pretty intensly the last few weeks I have noticed a few issues.
1/ They can be quite difficult to slip onto your shoe (toe and heel) and as a result a few times I didn't spend as much time putting them on properly as I should have done. Consequently, they a pair have slipped off my foot a few times in the snow and when it happens it isn't immediately apparent. I now tend to stare at my feet whenever I walk in them
2/ They're great for shallow snow and ice but should not really be used on cleared pavements or inside shops etc. As the snow and ice start to melt then it becomes apparent that asphalt pavements increase the wear and tear on the chains of the grips. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

I ordered Yaktrax from QVC before Christmas for my mum, brother and myself. We all swear by them. They can be a bit epic to put on, but that's a very small price to pay.0 -
You would be less likely to lose one if you tied them on with a velcro tie (as in the yaktrax pro in picture) or even a bit of string.0 -
I've got Yaxtrax and can advise that my friends who live in Canada use these0

Having lost 1 of the 4 wintertrax bought from QVC I made a strap similar to the one in the yaktrax pro picture from tomthebomb from some strong black elastic and a bit of velcro. seems to be working fine .0

Great post, bought a pair of these myself from QVC in December, the snow and ice seems tohave dissapeared however I am sure they will come in useful for next winter!0
