Dishwasher salt

Just discovered I have an unopened 3kg bag of Mr T's dishwasher salt in the cupboard. We haven't used the dishwasher since we moved in since I don't think we have enough stuff to fill it to warrant the electricity use.

Do you think I could use this salt on icy paths?

    yes! nursery my kids attend cleared their access ramp with dishwasher salt, it worked a treat

    Doubtful but there is none in the supermarket :rolleyes: online shops have taken it off 'the shelves'
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:
