Hello
I have just had a mortgage declined with Natwest and when i checked my credit report i am not on the Electoral role and 2 of my accounts are registered to my old address. I have rectified the address changes however the elect role wont be amended until 01 Feb and i need to mortgage now or could lose the house i want.
My file is perfect, no late payments or searches for credit and in jan last year my bank (abbey) said i was in the top 5% of the bank for good credit. Im going in to see them tomorrow but does anyone know if there is a way around the electoral role thing as i have been with my bank 15 years and so they know me???
Im very anxious, please help

All I would say is it could be worth taking as much proof of where you have been living to your meeting, e.g. bills and council tax statements from your last address, and bills from your current address, plus any documents showing you have submitted an electoral role registration.
It may also be that the council will be able to verify that you are "pending" to be published on the electoral role.
