Halifax Shared Equity buyer deposit

Hi All,
I completed a mortgage promise yesterday with Halifax for a new build shared equity mortgage. At the moment Halifax still require the buyer to pay a 5% deposit, but my mortgage adviser has said that since I came back as an 'A Grade Pass' that she would speak to her senior manager to see if they could accept the 5% being paid as a 'Gifted deposit from the builder'.
Has anyone had a similar experience and what was the outcome - is Halifax likely to waive the 5%?
Thanks Everyone........
