Full Account Number required with letter?

Hi,

Does anyone (*cough - Fermi*), know if I require the full account number when trying to clean an entry made by MBNA? They have my default date wrong and the entry does not show as settled.

I only have the last four numbers of the account as supplied on my CRF. I do however, still have the credit card number that was added to the petition. Should I also include this in my letter to them? In the covering letter would ACCOUNT NUMBER: Ending 6395 be acceptable, plus the credit card number?

Just a little worried that they will reply stating I need to supply the full account number to proceed with the request!

Thanks

I was discharged Aug 2005, and it has taken me this long to realise I needed to clean my CRF!!! Never want a credit card/loan again (apart for the one I used to rebuild my CR), but do however, require a decent mortgage rate..

    Thanks for the reply

The credit card number should be all you need.

The 16 digit card number is more than sufficient to allow them to identify the correct account. :)
