Hi hlw88, welcome to the comping forum!

Hope you get lots of luck here.

I started out last summer, and had my first win of a book about 3 weeks later. Consistently win around 4 prizes a month - nothing major, but all nice. My most valuable prize so far was a mountain bike and I've had about 4 cash wins of £100 or so. Lots of lovely 'treats' too like perfume, trainers, magazine subscriptions etc. Those are my favourites - things for me that are luxuries and I wouldn't normally buy for myself.

I do spend a lot of time entering - around 200 per day. If you want to win, you really have to put the hours in! As long as its fun for you, and not a chore then that's the main thing.

My mum saw me winning and decided to try too, but she didn't really put the effort in - only entering the odd one here and there! Then moaned that she hadn't won anything and it was a waste of time! :rotfl:

Remember that a lot of comps don't close for a while and some take ages to to their draws, advise you and send the prizes out - I've waited 4 months for some prizes! Also, there's loads of lovely, helpful people on here. Read through the guides for advice first, but if you don't understand something don't be afraid to ask - you'll always find someone willing to help on here.

Good luck with your new hobby!

How do you go about entering 200 comps a day! Im lucky if I manage 10!! I suppose if youre lucky, youre lucky, some people are born lucky...Just gotta wait my turn! Although today I won my 2nd Peroni Coaster...thanks to OP's...
Anyone have a method of securing wins??
I love the buzz...and the friendly atmosphere already!

Quick question to those of you who enter 100-200+ comps a day. May I ask how do you do it? The most I enter is a dozen a day (if that) and it takes up alot of my time. Do you view comping as a hobby (like me) or do you spend hours and hours online entering these comps? Don't you have a husband to feed or jobs to go to? :D

10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I'm quite lucky in that I can enter from work during breaks etc.I enter from home a bit as well as I work shifts so have the computer to myself.
In the end I think it all comes down to just enjoying comping & entering lots.Of course, you may just enter a couple and still win as the odds per comps are the same for all of us.
I've done very well from MSE comps & would love the board to continue and thrive.

Hi I started in November and must admit it's very addictive and can take up a lot of your time.

My first win was 25th November and still waiting for prize and a few others I'm still waiting for.

It can get frustrating seeing others win especiallly if the same people keep winning but I now know try and be patient and your time will come as I know as a few things are starting to trickle through now after doing about 5000 since I started.

It is up to you what you go in for and for me I just enter the ones I'd like to win and not everything.

Fingers crossed for you in this very addictive hobby.

Well I started about 3 years ago and won after about 3 weeks trying and was hooked from then on. I used to only enter a few comps a day, but now try to enter 200 a day. Good luck x
