Irrational thought

I suppose its hand in hand with the old retail adage of pricing items at 99p instead of £1.00. In reality the difference is only really in the mind. So is it irrational? I think it is.0

There's nothing irrational about that. I recently made a capital payment on my mortgage of £42,000, leaving myself with just over £10,000 in savings. It was the right thing to do because it resulted in a good remortgage deal, but I had spent years building up the savings. All things being equal, you may want to consider puttting down 25-30k in savings towards the deposit. However, everyone has their own individual circumstances and just because it made sense for me to part with a lot of money it may not be in your best interests. The way I see it, a mortgage is a huge debt and the sooner it gets paid off the better.Yeah I am leaning towards that to be honest - the silly thing is I have never had that sort of amount in savings before and its difficult 'letting it go'. See there I go again....irrational thought.0 -
Dr eye you may need the help of a good doctor
I think you should lie down in a dark room with a towel over your head
I also have an offset mortgage which has helped me quickly pay down my mortgage debt !0 -

Exactly! Absolutely no logical thought whatsoever.
@MB1919 - I'll give you that one. And thanks for the advice.0
