Debt collection letters for old tennant

I'm hoping someone can give me some advise?

For years I rented out my flat, but moved back in over 2 years ago. Since the last tennant moved out I have recieved numerous letters for him from debt collection agencies. For 18 months I returned them as addressee unknown. They still continue to come, and so now I open them and call the company to advise the situation.

One problem is that the name they have is slightly wrong; his surname ended '...house' but the documents are addressed to ...head'.

The companies really dont seem to care that he is not at this address and no other address known.

Can anyone suggest a way I can put a stop to this correspondence once and for all? I am concerned that my address may get blacklisted and know that will lead to many problems in the future.

Many thanks in advance for any help or advise.
